Betin Güneş – The Voice of the World’s Music

Betin Güneş – Composer, conductor, and pianist of Turkish heritage, founder of the renowned Turkish Chamber Orchestra (TCO).
His musical journey began in childhood in Istanbul and has continued at full speed ever since. Six academic degrees and a brilliant graduation from the masterclass of conducting legend Sergiu Celibidache testify to his exceptional discipline.

Güneş has lived in Cologne since 1980. For him, music is both a universal language and a platform for integration – it fosters mutual interest and understanding, and he is an unconditional supporter of young musicians. As a highly sought‑after guest conductor and composer, he has traveled across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, from Brazil to South Korea, from Sweden to Spain.

“By founding the Turkish Chamber Orchestra, he created his own permanent ensemble with which he contributes to making the world a better place through music.”

He has worked with world‑famous orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, the WDR Radio Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and all state symphony orchestras of Turkey.
